TheDex — Active Pokémon Companion

TheDex ("the app", "we") is an independent iOS app developed and published by EA Dev LLC. Your privacy is important. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Nothing personally identifiable. TheDex does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, including your name, email address, location, or device identifiers.
The app stores the following data locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework:
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
TheDex fetches Pokémon data from PokéAPI (an open-source, MIT-licensed API) and game cover art from IGDB. These requests include only the Pokémon name or game title being queried — no personal data is sent.
PokéAPI and IGDB have their own privacy policies. TheDex does not control these services.
The optional Pro upgrade is processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. TheDex does not see, store, or handle your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all transactions.
If you choose to send us feedback from within the app, it opens your device's native mail composer with your message pre-filled. This includes your app version and device model/OS version to help us troubleshoot — this is sent only if you choose to send the email, and only to support@the-dex.app. We do not collect this information automatically or in the background.
TheDex does not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising networks. No tracking occurs in the app.
TheDex does not knowingly collect data from children or any users. The app contains no user accounts or data submission of any kind.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
